ATHENS — The Georgia Bulldogs worked out for just over two hours this afternoon in the second of their 15 football practices this spring.

Today also marked the second practice at the team’s temporary home, UGA’s Club Sports facility on South Milledge Avenue.  The change is just one of many that are happening under new head coach Kirby Smart.

One position that is undergoing several changes is the offensive line, where at least two returning starters are seeing time at new positions.  ‘’Right now, there’s just a lot of energy on the field,’’ said junior Isaiah Wynn.  ‘’We’re all buying in and it’s been good so far.  For me personally, I don’t have a preference for where I play.  We’re all just getting a feel for how we want to play.  I think it’s good to be able to play all positions (on the offensive line) in case somebody goes down.’’

‘’It’s just spring ball,’’ said senior Greg Pyke, a 10-game starter last season.  ‘’They need guys to line up at first team, second team, third team.  I’m at tackle now, but I don’t know if I’ll stay there.  Last year was last year.  This year is a totally new experience for everybody.  As the spring goes on, I have nothing but excitement to see what happens in the coming weeks leading up to G-Day.’’

The Bulldogs will resume spring practices this Saturday with a workout at Sanford Stadium. Georgia’s 15 practices will culminate with the annual G-Day intrasquad game on Saturday, April 16 at 4:00 p.m.
