Golf: Red Elephants have strong showing at Apple Mountain invitational

CLARKSVILLE — The Gainesville "Red" team finished third out of 24 teams in the Apple Mountain Invitational golf tournament hosted by Habersham Central on Saturday.

The "Red" team fired a 294. Mill Creek won the event shooting a 275 and Dalton was second with a 289.

The Gainesville "White" team finished inside the top 10 with a 330.

The "Red" team was led by Spencer Ralston, who fired a 70. Ryan Hogan finished with a 72, Davis Weaver a 74, and Drew Lasseter a 78 for the counting scored.

The "White" team was led by AD Winston with a 79. Brady Holcomb fired an 80, Hunter Worley an 81, and Bo Roberts a 90 for the counting scores.
