GAINESVILLE — Lakeview Academy won its second straight game Friday taking a 10-5 victory over West Hall at Lakeview Field.
Rhett Kinsey earned the win for the Lions (2-3) pitching two scoreless innings and also provided two hits with a pair of RBI at the plate. Kinsey came in in relief of Rob Collison, who went four innings sllowing three runs on just two hits while striking out five.
Gabe McConnell had two hits and three RBI for Lakeview. Bailey Whitlock and Logan Barwick combined for four hits and five runs scored for the Lions.
Lakeview next will travel to Johnson on Monday.
West Hall (6-2) had its three game win streak snapped with the loss. The Spartans had allowed just 11 total runs in their first seven games until Friday.
The Spartans next will open their Region 7-AAA schedule on Tuesday playing host to East Hall.
