Baseball: Falcons hold off West Forsyth for first win

CUMMING — Jackson Harrell and Kohlton Hamann scattered five hits in leading Flowery Branch to a 4-3 victory over West Forsyth Friday in baseball action.

Harrell went four innings to get the win and Hamann pitched the final three innings to earn the save for the Falcons (1-1).

Dylan Childress had two hits for Flowery Branch.

West Forsyth led 1-0 after the third inning but the Falcons got a run in the fourth and three more in the fifth to take a 4-1 lead. The Wolverines (0-1) scored two in the sixth but could not get the tying run.

Flowery Branch next will play Jackson County on Wednesday at Cool Ray Field.
