The estimated cost of securing right-of-way for the replacement of the Cleveland Highway bridge north of Gainesville - the one near the Georgia State Patrol post -is now $1.18 million, up from $750,000.

The Gainesville-Hall Metropolitan Planning Organization's Policy Committee will consider amending the 2016-2019 Transportation Improvement Program to reflect the new amount when it meets March 15.

The formal public comment period began Sunday and runs through Feb. 28.

The proposed amendment will be available for review and comment on the GHMPO website, www.ghmpo.org.  A hard copy of the document will be available at the Hall County Planning Department in the government center on Browns Bridge Road.
