UPDATE: Still a chance of some freezing rain in northeast Georgia

There's still a chance for some freezing rain across most of northeast Georgia Sunday night and Monday - including Gainesville and Hall County - but the National Weather Service says the chance for snow in the mountains has diminished.

That has prompted the Weather Service to replace the Winter Storm Watch with a Freezing Rain Advisory for an area east and north of a line from the Cohutta Wilderness to Canton to Lawrenceville to Danielsville.   Forecasters say most of the affected area will see less than 0.10 inch of ice with higher amounts on the south facing mountain slopes.

The watch is in effect from 1:00 Monday monring until 7:00 Monday night..
