Dowling, who has over 21 years of experience in Georgia county governments, was selected unanimously by the Dawson County Board of Commissioner's during a voting session this week.
Dowling's career in county governments include time spent in Berrien, Lee, Gordon, and Barrow Counties. He is also actively involved in ACCG and holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from the University of Arkansas, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Texas.
Dowling and his wife, Sandy, currently reside in Hoschton, Georgia, but have immediate plans to relocate to Dawsonville.
