Two South Carolina men face numerous felony and misdemeanor charges after fleeing an attempted traffic stop in Franklin County Tuesday night.

The incident happened when Trooper Fuller from Georgia State Patrol Post 52 in Hartwell checked the men's vehicle that was southbound on I-85, said Sgt. 1st Class Al Whitworth.

Harper said the suspect vehicle fled at speeds reaching 120 mph.

"After a five-mile pursuit, Trooper Fuller performed the PIT maneuver," Whitworth said.

The two men fled on foot, with one captured in a field off Ga. 106 near Carnesville Tuesday night.

The driver was apprehended Wednesday morning with assistance from the Franklin County Sheriffs Office.

Both men are from Greenville, S.C., Whitworth said.

There were no injuries.

Additional details about the men are not immediately available.
