There's the chance for damaging winds (up to 60 miles-an-hour) and possible tornadoes across parts of north Georgia overnight.
The National Weather Service says the greatest threat is along and north of a line from Columbus to Athens between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Forecasters say the stormy weather should move through the Atlanta-Gainesville area about 6:00. The system should be out of the region and moving into and through southeast Georgia by 9:00.
