A Winder man faces a 25 felony counts for allegedly stealing items from vehicles over the span of a few days in several local neighborhoods.
The neighborhoods are fairly close together, according to Lt. Chris Cooper, Winder Police spokesman, and after police processed the crime scenes, they determined Calvin Barnes, 18, was their primary suspect.
Barnes was on probation on convictions of theft and entering autos from February, said Cooper in a press release; authorities found most of the stolen items upon searching Barnes' home on Huckleberry Lane.
Of the vehicles that Barnes was able to get into this go-round, all but one was unlocked at the time.
Barnes was arrested and booked into the Barrow County Detention Center; he also faces a misdemeanor count of receiving stolen property.
