Gainesville High School Governor's Honors nominees announced

Ten Gainesville High School students were recently selected as the city school system's Governor's Honors nominees.  They will now compete at the state level for an opportunity to attend the prestigious Governor's Honors Program.
 
They nominees are:  Anita Medepalli (Science), Grace O'Keefe(Communicative Arts), Natasha Enriquez(Social Studies), Guillermo Beltran(Science), Spencer Sumner (Mathematics), Grayson Wagner(Mathematics), Catie Cook (Communicative Arts), Ramiro Salinas(Theatre), Mark Toth (Science), and Izzy Pate (Theatre).
 
They will complete an online application and a task/performance related to their subject area.  After online submissions from students throughout the state have been evaluated, a select number of qualified students will have the opportunity to interview at the state semi-finals for consideration as a 2017 state finalist.
