DAWSONVILLE — The Dawson County girls picked up their first Region 7-AAA win Tuesday night with a 55-27 victory over Lumpkin County at home.
The Lady Tigers (2-7, 1-1 Region 7-AAA) led just 18-16 at halftime but used a 15-1 third quarter to blow the game open. They outscored the Lady Indians ((2-8, 1-2) 34-11 in the second half.
Abi Chatham paced Dawson County with 13 points. Kaylee Sticker and Cadey Ayers each scored 12 points for the Lady Tigers.
Dawson County will be back in action traveling to Fannin County on Friday.
Lumpkin County travels to Chestatee on Friday in a non-region battle.
