Archaeology students at the UNG Dahlonega campus have excavated Healan's Mill, the last standing grist mill in Hall County, as part of an effort to preserve history and give students a first hand look at the archaeological field. Along with students studying history and anthropology, the project gives UNG students a chance to see the effects of restoration and the historical value in their own backyards.
