A Hall County man was arrested this week in connection with a series of auto break-ins and thefts that happened a week ago.
Hall County Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware identified the suspect as Joseph Slade Dean, age 20.
Ware said Dean is accused of breaking into seven cars in the vicinity of Broome Road and Pierce Road in the East Hall area. All of the incidents occurred on November 15, according to Ware.
Dean allegedly stole several firearms, car stereo equipment, wallets, a computer and other personal items.
Ware said investigators were able to trace the thefts to Dean and arrested him on Monday, November 21.
He is charged with seven counts of entering auto as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Ware said all of the firearms and the majority of the other items which Dean allegedly stole were recovered and returned to the victims of these cases. Investigators continue to look for the other stolen items.
