Braselton Police have charged a Dacula man with murder in the October 29 shooting death of a man outside of a convenience store at the intersection of Highway 124 and Highway 211.

Assistant Braselton Police Chief Lou Solis identified the alleged shooter as Antonio Ward Gee, Jr., age 19.

Solis said police had been on the lookout for the car that was seen on surveillance video; they caught up with Gee when they found the suspect vehicle in the parking lot of the Walmart store on SR 8 in Winder.

"We got a search warrant for the car because we saw a gun at...his feet," said Solis. "It still had three rounds."

Solis said the bullets in the gun will be compared to the bullet that killed James Walls, 56, of Flowery Branch.

Solis says the car owner, 30 year-old Christopher Sebastian Carneiro of Athens, also was arrested. Investigators believe Carneiro had loaned the car to Gee to commit the crime.

Both men were booked into jail early Wednesday morning.

In addition to the arrests of Gee and Carneiro, three other suspects have been jailed in connection with the crime.

Solis said investigators still have a number of dots to connect to determine a motive in the case and how each suspect played a part in the crime.

"The good thing is, it brings closure to the family of the victim - Mr. Walls. Getting close to the holidays, I'm glad we got the guy so at least they'll have some kind of relief," Solis said.
