Braselton’s Mayor and City Council saluted the graduates of its Citizens Academy at a recent city council meeting.

Judee McMurdo and Yolanda Scales completed the six-month academy, learning about the municipal functions of the town government.

“It was a privilege to attend,” said McMurdo, “and it opened my eyes.  The academy was very valuable.”

Scales added, “It was a privilege to see the inner workings and gain insight into the various departments.  I am thankful for the experience, and it was a pleasure to understand why 'it’s better in Braselton'.”

The Academy is an annual, hands-on lesson focusing on the daily work of the town’s departments and functions.  For information or interest in the 2017 academy, registration begins in April
