Coming up on Monday, Nov. 21, the Brenau University Music Dept. will host an event called "Singing for the Shelter Animals" at the Burd Center Atrium on the Gainesville campus.

Vocal students of adjunct music professor Jan Grissom will perform select song favorites beginning at 7 p.m.

While the event is free and open to the public, the university encourages attendees to donate items for dogs and cats of the local animal shelters: leashes, canned or dry food, toys, newspapers, blankets, flea and tick treatments are appropriate.
