A teenager has been found guilty of two counts of felony murder in the shooting death of pizza delivery driver from Buford.
Reginald Lofton, 15, was found guilty Friday for his role in the shooting death of Shane Varnadore, 28, at a Lawrenceville apartment complex on March 1, according to a report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Sentencing has been deferred for 60 days for Lofton, who was 14 at the time of the incident.
Lofton was also found guilty on charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault, but the jury, which deliberated for more than two hours, found him not guilty on the single malice murder charge he faced.
Jermaine Young, 21, is also charged in the case, though he has yet to stand trial, the paper reported.
In Lofton's police interrogation, which was shown to jurors, he admitted that he knew Young planned to rob Varnadore at the Wesley Herrington Apartments, but Lofton maintained that he didn't participate in the crime, only admitting that he took the pizzas after Varnadore was shot.
