The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia will join forces with Downtown Drafts in Gainesville next Sunday for a four-hour fundraiser.

“We are so appreciative of local businesses like Downtown Drafts who are willing to partner with us to increase awareness of the Humane Society and our services in the community,” says Julie Edwards, HSNEGA Executive Director. “For us, Yappy Hour is about friend-raising as much as fundraising. We love being able to include pets and their people in a community event and especially enjoy seeing our adopted ‘alums’ who come with their new families.”

The event will be held in front of Downtown Drafts on the Gainesville Square.

Highlights will include Mac the Cheese {Comfort} Food Truck, a “tap takeover” by The Unknown Brewing Company, exclusive orange HSNEGA pint glasses for sale, a treat booth hosted by Beachin Biscuits Dog Treats, and an “Ugly Holiday Sweater” contest for pets and people.

Professional photographer Crystal Alba of Demure Dragonfly Photography & Illustrations also will be hosting a seasonal photo booth to capture pics of you and your pups for a $20 donation to HSNEGA.

Pets/domestic animals of all shapes and sizes are welcome at Yappy Hour with their owners to participate; however, appropriate restraint should be provided for all animals.

"Being an animal-friendly gathering spot is one thing that makes Downtown Drafts unique, so it makes perfect sense to give back to our great community by partnering with the Humane Society," says Aimee Hoecker, who owns Downtown Drafts with her husband Nick.
