The Gainesville City School System has extended a deadline for submitting nominations for names for the city's newest elementary school. Nominations are now due by Friday, November 4.
The name for the school is scheduled to be made public next week.
The school is being built at Millside Parkway in the Mundy Mill subdivision and will be open in time for the 2017-18 school year.
