Winder police looking for missing person

Winder police are asking for the public to be on the lookout for a mentally challenged woman who went missing Saturday night.

According to Winder Police Lt. Chris Cooper, 39-year-old Amanda Joleen Lovell went was last seen walking near the intersection of Highway 81 and State Route 8, about a mile and a half away from her home on Partridge Trail.

According to Cooper, Lovell was born a schizophrenic and has wandered away from home several times but normally returns quickly. She is described as 5 feet 5 inches with short or shaved brown hair and was last seen wearing a white hoodie, a blue scarf or towel around her head, multi-colored Capri pants and black and pink sneakers.

Anyone with information on Lovell's location is asked to call Winder authorities at 770-867-2156.
