The only item on the agenda when the Gainesville City School Board sits down at a called meeting this week is a decision on a site plan for the new Enota Elementary School.
Board members have been discussing the plans and gathering community input - some of which has been quite heated - for almost a year now.
At a work session on Monday, October 3, board members got a look at two additional site plans created after a community meeting at the school on September 22.
Dr. Delores Diaz, the chairwoman for the school board, said at the Monday work session, she wants a firm decision made at the Wednesday meeting.
"We've reached a point that we need to make a decision. I mean, this has been ongoing for a year, you know, since last November - almost a year," Diaz said last week.
The called meeting is scheduled for noon at school board headquarters on Oak Street.
