EATONTON — Class AA No. 3 Rabun County exploded for 36 points in the second quarter to break a scoreless tie en route to a 57-0 demolition of Putnam County Friday night in Region 8-AA action.
The Wildcats (5-0, 2-0 Region 8-AA) got three rushing touchdowns and one receiving from Cal Drummond, who finished with 146 yards rushing and added a 21-yard touchdown reception.
Quarterback Bailey Fisher was just 4-for-8 passing but had two touchdown passes, including a 65-yard strike to Austin Jones.
Cole Keener added a 14-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
Rabun County blew it open with a 21-point third quarter.
The Rabun County defense yielded just 133 total yards of offense to the War Eagles (1-6, 1-2).
