ATLANTA (AP) Police say a man has been fatally shot and another person was injured outside a gas station in Atlanta.

Local news media report Atlanta Police say 36-year-old William Respress Jr. of College Park was arguing with a small group of people outside the Shell gas station around 3 a.m. Sunday. Police say a compact silver-gray colored car carrying four men pulled up, as one of them allegedly shot Respress multiple times in the torso.

Police say another person was grazed across the abdomen by one of the bullets. But his injuries non-life threatening.

An off-duty Atlanta police officer found Respress on the ground after the car carrying the men sped away.
