October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and once again the Hall County Domestic Violence Task Force is hosting a breakfast and briefing to shed light on the issue.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place Tuesday, October 4 from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Gainesville Public Safety Building at 701 Queen City Parkway.
The topic of this year’s briefing will be about technology and victim safety.The program will include recognition of a local law enforcement officer as the “Domestic Violence Officer of the Year” as well as the 2016 briefing.
The event is sponsored by the Gainesville Police Department and McDonald’s. No RSVP is required.
