Gunman robs dollar store in Gainesville

A gunman made off with money from a business he robbed along Browns Bridge Road in Gainesville Thursday night, authorities said.
 
Gainesville police responded to the Dollar General store between Hilton Drive and Skelton Road around 8:00 p.m., according to police Sgt. Kevin Holbrook.
 
"A male subject, with his face covered, wearing all black, entered the store armed with a handgun, demanded everyone to the ground and cash from the cashier. The suspect fled the scene on foot," Holbrook stated in a media release.
 
Investigators said no one was injured during the robbery.
