"Mission: Possible" comes to Gainesville’s First Presbyterian Church for three days starting today.
Mission exhibits and a silent auction of church members’ art, crafts, and talents will open at 6:00 tonight in Swetenburg Hall in the church. A rice and beans supper starts at 6:30 and continues with an introduction to the keynote speaker Cary Umhau, author and missionary.
The 17th annual World Mission Conference continues Saturday morning when registration and exhibits open at 9:00. Breakout sessions start at 9:30, rotating and continuing until the 12:30 lunch when Umhau, author of Burning Down the Fireproof Hotel, will lead a worship session.
The conference continues through Sunday.
