Boys basketball: North Hall pulls away late to beat Johnson in 8-AAAA

GAINESVILLE — North Hall outscored Johnson 20-11 in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 58-49 win over the Knights in Region 8-AAAA play Tuesday night.

The Trojans (16-5, 4-1 Region 8-AAAA) led 17-14 after the first quarter but Johnson (5-16, 1-4) trimmed the lead to 27-26 by halftime. The Knights pulled into a tie at 38 heading into the fourth quarter.

Senior Carson Heinen and junior Evan Easton each poured in 16 points to lead North Hall. Harrison Harper added 13 points for the Trojans.

Ahmad Harrison had 14 points to pace Johnson.

The Knights next will travel to Chestatee on Friday. North Hall will play host to Class AAA No. 9 Banks County on Wedfnesday in a non-region battle.
