ATHENS (AP) — Jalen Jones, Alex Caruso and Danuel House all scored 12 points and No. 15 Texas A&M won its eighth straight game with a 79-45 victory over Georgia on Saturday.
The Aggies (15-2, 5-0 Southeastern Conference) never trailed. Any doubt of the outcome was erased when D.J. Hogg's 3-pointer gave them a 25-point lead with 7:17 remaining.
Yaten Maten finished with 11 points and was the only player to score in double figures for Georgia (9-6, 2-3).
The Bulldogs shot a season-worst 28.9 percent and had no answer offensively as Texas A&M stretched its defense to the perimeter and stepped in their passing lanes all game.
Texas A&M has its longest winning streak since 2010-11 when it won 13 straight. The Aggies are off to their best start in league play since winning their first five in the Southwest Conference 30 years ago.
