GAINESVILLE — The North Hall softball team won its last regular season game of 2015 on Thursday, taking out North Oconee 3-1 in Gainesville.
Ashlyn Brewster (2 for 3, 1 RBI, 1 run) scored the Lady Trojans' first run in the second inning on a single by Ashley Goines (2 for 3, 1 RBI). North Hall (16-7, 6-2 Region 8-AAAA) added another run in the third inning on a solo home run by Niki Carver (1 for 1, 1 RBI, 1 run). It was Carver's third of the year.
North Oconee got on the board in the fifth inning as Autumn McCullough scored on a two-out single by Shelby Thomas. Macy Clark (1 for 3, 1 run) singled in the bottom half of the fifth inning and scored on a hit by Ashlyn Brewster to account for the Lady Trojans final run. Carson McCormack was 1 for 3 on the night for North Hall.
Kendyl Chase picked up her 13th win of the season. She pitched another excellent game by scattering seven hits over seven innings and striking out five batters.
North Hall hosts Chestatee on Tuesday in the first round of the Region 8-AAAA tournament.
