LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett County Police are on the lookout for the second suspect in a series of car break-ins and and fraud cases, including at least one in Buford.

The lookout is for Timothy (Tim) Lamont Matthews, 41, of Lithonia, according to police.  Authorities released several photos and a surveillance video of the suspects on Wednesday.

In most of the incidents, police said the suspects would smash a vehicle's window or reach inside a rolled down window to steal purses and wallets.

Authorities believe the suspects would use the victims' credit cards to make purchases at stores.

The Buford incident happened on August 15 at Duncan Creek Park on Braselton Highway, where the suspects made off with a purse, according to investigators.

"Most of these entering autos took place at either a fitness gym or a Gwinnett County park," Police Cpl. Michelle Pihera said.

One of the photos police released Wednesday was from inside the Mall of Georgia, outside of the Dillard's store on August 15.  Investigators believe the pair would make purchases, such as purses or handbags, with the stolen cards.

"That's what you see them carrying out of the Mall of Georgia.  I was told by the investigator that they then went to another location and returned that item and got a store credit," Pihera said.

Police identified the suspects through a license plate number revealed in surveillance video.

The first suspect, Temekia Robertson, 39, of Lithonia was arrested on September 1.  The at-large suspect, Matthews, is Robertson's boyfriend, according to Gwinnett County Police.

Police described him as black, 6 feet 4 inches tall. He is missing a portion of the middle finger of his left hand and has some gold teeth.  Investigators believe he may be driving a rented maroon 2015 Dodge Ram. The license plate number is CBZ5532.

Robertson remained in the Gwinnett County Jail on Wednesday, charged with seven counts of entering auto and 12 counts of credit card fraud/theft.

The lead detective secured seven warrants for entering auto and one warrant for FTC fraud on Matthews.

Both suspects are wanted on additional charges by the Conyers Police Department, according to Gwinnett County Police.
