BUFORD — One day after being no-hit, the Buford softball team took out some of its frustrations on Monroe Area Thursday in an 8-0, six-inning Region 8-AAAA win at home.
The Lady Wolves (15-4, 5-1 Region 8-AAAA) pounded out 13 hits, paced by senior Baylee Sexton with four hits and two RBI.
In the circle senior Peyton Wolfe remained undefeated for the season (9-0) scattering four hits getting the complete-game win.
For Buford, seniors Drew Puckett and Aislynn Kimbro each had two hits. Senior Lea Edwards had one hit and two RBI and junior Samantha Thomas also had a hit and two RBI for the Lady Wolves.
Buford next will travel to Mill Creek on Friday to take on host Mill Creek and Ridgeland in the Brookwood Invitational tournament. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
