CUMMING — South Fosyth used a 27-point second quarter to blow open a close game en route to a 55-35 win over Habersham Central Friday night in Region 6-AAAAAA action.
South Forsyth (3-0, 2-0 Region 6-AAAAAA) led just 14-7 after the first quarter but turned up the offense to take a 41-14 lead by halftime.
The Raiders (0-3, 0-2) scored 21 second half points but could not complete the comeback. Habersham Central had 383 yards of offense, paced by quarterback Bryce Tanner, who was 15-of-29 for 221 yards and two touchdowns. Mason Kinsey had seven catches for 71 yards and one touchdown and Jim barnett had six receptions for 101 yards and one score.
Michael Bbabers had 194 yards rushing and three touchdowns for the Raiders.
South Forsyth piled up 448 yards of offense in the victory.
