GAINESVILLE — Gainesville improved to 16-5 with a pair of non-area match victories Thusrday at Lakeview Academy.
The Lady Red Elephants opened with a 25-17, 25-21 win over Habersham Central and then knocked off host Lakeview Academy 25-16, 25-22.
Tanai Watson led the offense with 11 kills, 11 digs while Savannah Roys had 28 assists, 13 digs, and five aces for Gainesville. Sydney King had 30 digs, six aces, and three assists, Abby Alexander had eight blocks and four kills, Caroline Mercer added two digs and an ace, and Tangi Miller had a dig and a block for the Lady Red Elephants.
Bessie had four kills and two aces, Sally Callahan had seven digs, Cori Griffith had six kills, Anna Wylie had four kills and a block, and Ashley Filson contributed with two digs for Gainesville.
The Lady Elephants next will travel Saturday to play at Athens Academy.
