CORNELIA - Motorists in downtown Cornelia could experience some traffic delays over the next two weeks as a downtown sidewalk is replaced.
The City of Cornelia will begin the next phase of the Main Street Sidewalk Replacement Project on Monday, Aug. 24, said City Manager Donald Anderson on Friday.
Higgins Construction will begin replacing the sidewalk that runs from Front Street to Wells Street.
The project should take no more than two weeks to complete.
"The city apologizes ahead of time for any traffic delays as we complete this project," Anderson said.
