CUMMING - Forsyth County sheriff's deputies have increased patrols in the county and are making contact with all known associates of a man who walked off of a south Georgia prison work detail.

Eric J. Coe, 20, walked off of a work release detail in Monroe County on Wednesday, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.  The north Georgia tie relates to a vehicle Coe allegedly stole in Lamar County.

Forsyth County authorities said the vehicle was located on Settingdown Road Thursday night.

In addition to the Lamar County vehicle, deputies said a pickup truck was stolen on Settingdown Road, also Thursday night.

The truck is a Black Ford Ranger XLT extended cab, with tag number PHG3977. It has damage to the hood, grill and front bumper and a dented rear passenger corner panel.

Forsyth County authorities said Coe's arrest history involved theft and burglary.  He was about 60 days into a 120 day boot camp program in Monroe County when he escaped.

Deputies urged anyone who sees Coe or the stolen vehicle to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-TIPS (8477).  Information leading to the capture and arrest of Coe may result in a cash reward.
