LULA - A woman is recovering after being struck by a hit-and-run driver near Lula Thursday night.

Hall County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Nicole Bailes said it happened about 7:15 in the 8700 block of Belton Bridge Road.

"A 52 year old female was struck while walking down Belton Bridge Road by a white Chevrolet truck, possibly a 2014 or 2015 model," Bailes said.  "The truck was last seen traveling towards Holly Springs Road and appeared to have front end damage, possibly a broken headlight."

Bailes added the woman was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
