COAL MOUNTAIN - After hours of work, authorities and emergency crews in Forsyth County cleared an overturned tractor trailer from Highway 369.

Fire Department Division Chief Jason Shivers said authorities opened 369 or Matt Highway near Coal Mountain Drive around 1:10 p.m.

The accident happened during morning rush hour, prompting the closure of the highway in the 8:00 a.m. hour.

Shivers confirmed the truck was carrying a full load of eggs, approximately 30,000 pounds.  He said the driver was not injured.

The accident was just one of several that happened in the county Thursday morning.  It was the first day of classes for the Forsyth County School system.
