GAINESVILLE - Kyle Thompson, MD, has joined Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery http://www.ngpg.org.
Dr. Thompson’s introduction to cardiothoracic surgery started after he graduated from the University of Alabama - Birmingham and went on to work as a Cardiothoracic Surgical Physician Assistant in Jackson, Mississippi. After a few years assisting, he went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Mississippi. Prior to completing his Cardiothoracic Surgical residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Thompson took a 63-day philanthropic bike ride across the United States. The “Journey of Hope” ride started in San Francisco and ended in Washington, D.C., raising awareness and money across the nation for people with mental and physical disabilities.
