BUFORD - A second accident likely caused the death of a motorcyclist who had already wrecked his motorcycle in Buford Sunday morning, according to Gwinnett County Police.

Authorities responded to a 911 call around 12:45 a.m. on Gravel Springs Road at Camp Branch Road.  Police believe Scott Moseley, 24, was trying to turn left from Camp Branch onto Gravel Springs. During the turn, investigators said it's likely that Moseley struck the raised median and was ejected from his motorcycle.

While dispatchers were on the line with the first 911 caller, the line went silent after a loud noise.  After speaking to witnesses, investigators believe Moseley was hit by a vehicle after his initial accident.  The driver never stopped or contacted police, according to authorities.

"It is likely that the vehicle will have damage to the front bumper. Witnesses report that the vehicle may be a sedan," a statement from Gwinnett Police reads.

Investigators believe that the suspect vehicle was likely a dark-colored 1990-1993 model Honda Accord with damage to the passenger side front bumper.
