GAINESVILLE - Dr. Sally C. Krisel, Director of Innovative and Advanced Programs for Hall County Schools, is the new President-Elect of the National Association of Gifted Children (NAGC).
“My term actually begins on September first," Dr. Krisel said, "so I will have to hit the ground running to work with NAGC staff and convention committee to finalize the program for the national convention in Phoenix coming up in November.” (See http://www.nagc.org/education-training/nagc-annual-convention-exhibition.)
The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC), headquartered in Washington, D.C., has over 5,000 members dedicated to the estimated three million gifted children in classrooms across the U.S. today.
NAGC's mission is to train teachers, encourage parents, and educate administrators and policy makers on how to "nurture potential giftedness and develop diverse talents."

Krisel will serve as President-Elect of NAGC for two years before become President in 2017.
