About the Boys & Girls Clubs of Jackson County:
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Jackson County opened a Jefferson unit in 2003, followed by a Commerce unit in 2006. Together the clubs serve more than 180 young people daily, helping the children with the most need by offering five program areas– character and leadership, education and career development, the arts, health and life skills, and recreation – that directly impact their lives, creating a positive environment to realize their full potential and grow into responsible individuals, and offering each child a sense of belonging and the tools to make positive choices.
