ATLANTA - Gov. Nathan Deal has ordered state health officials to review how Planned Parenthood clinics in Georgia handle fetal organs.

Deal's order on Thursday follows an anti-abortion group's release of a video showing a Planned Parenthood official discussing the disposal of body parts from aborted fetuses. Group officials say the video proves the organization is breaking federal law against selling human fetal tissue.

Planned Parenthood has said it only helps women legally donate fetal tissue to research firms, not sell it commercially.

Deal says he wants to ensure the "horrific practice" isn't occurring in Georgia. The Departments of Community Health and Public Health will conduct the review.

Planned Parenthood lists five health centers in Georgia on its website.  They are in Savannah, Marietta, Augusta, Atlanta and Lawrenceville.

Three congressional committees have announced plans to investigate the organization following the video's release.
