GAINESVILLE - The Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County is seeking letters of intent for non-profit organizations wishing to apply for the group’s Signature Project Grant. Total funds available for the 2016 grant cycle are $75,000, which may be awarded as a single grant or multiple grants.
Annually, the League sets aside a portion of the proceeds from major fundraisers such as Charity Ball and Thrift Sale for the purpose of awarding the Signature Project Grant every five years. The grant traditionally goes to a project or program which directly promotes the League’s mission of improving the community and promoting the well-being of children and families. Past grant recipients include:
· 2011: Gateway Domestic Violence Center Transitional Housing Project
· 2006: Sonrise Camp Sensory Integration Trail
· 2001: Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County “The Joseph F. Walters Club” Facility
Agencies/programs wishing to be considered for the Grant are requested to submit an initial Letter of Intent by August 14, 2015, to Junior League of Gainesville – Hall County, P.O. Box 1472, Gainesville, GA 30503.
Letter of Intent Criteria:
· Agency description
· Description and timeline of program/project for which funds are requested
· Amount requested within range of $ 25,000 to $ 75,000
· Explanation of how program/project supports the mission/vision of the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County
· No more than three pages in length
· On organization’s letterhead signed by Executive Director and Board Chairperson
The agencies/programs determined to best align with the mission and vision of the League will be invited to submit a full application package. Application packages will be provided to those invited to submit on or around September 1, 2015 and completed applications will be due to the League by October 1, 2015.
