GAINESVILLE - A suspect was apprehended Saturday evening in Atlanta after crashing a stolen limousine into a building. The limo was taken from the Memorial Park Funeral Home Main Chapel in Gainesville sometime between 3 and 6 in the afternoon.
President of the Memorial Park Funeral Home, Kevin Wetzel, says Georgia State Patrol called around 8:30 pm on Saturday July 4 to notify the funeral home the wrecked vehicle was registered back to Memorial Park and that a suspect had been arrested.
Wetzel also said that this is the first time something like this happened at Memorial Park.
"Its the first time we have ever had a limousine or a hearse be broken into. We did have a stretcher stolen one time from our hearse."
The funeral home has a total of four limousines and is still awaiting word on whether the stolen vehicle will be salvageable.
