MODOC, S.C. - Chris Ferguson powered around Dennis Franklin to take the lead and went on to score the win in the Jack Starrette Memorial at Modoc Raceway in Modoc, S.C. Saturday night for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series.
Ferguson, of Mount Holly, N.C., took home a $5,022 pay day for the victory.
Franklin started the night by setting fast time with a lap at 15.887 seconds.
Ferguson would take the lead from Franklin, and from there went on to pick up the victory, his first of the season for the series.
Franklin held on to finish in second, with Toccoa, GA’s Casey Roberts in third, with Johnny Pursley in fourth and Tim Allen in fifth.
Brian Connor, Anthony Sanders, Brian Ligon, Brandon Carpenter and Kelly Guy rounded out the top ten.
The Ultimate Super Late Model Series returns to action on Saturday, June 27 for the $5,000 to win Rattlesnake Roundup at Dublin Motor Speedway in Elizabethtown, NC.
