CORNELIA - Country music artist Gina Gailey and her band kicked off the Cornelia Summer Concert Series Friday night.
The concert at the Cornelia City Park Amphitheater from 8:30-10:30 p.m., featured new and old country and Gina Gailey original songs.
Gailey was a finalist for the 2014 GA Music Awards Country Female Artist of the Year and a finalist for the 2014 and 2013 Georgia-Country Awards for Female Artist of the Year.
The area around the amphitheater recently was reworked to create a lawn in front of the stage.
The next concert will feature The Regulars Band on June 26.
Then, July 17-19 will bring Haber-Jam: Art & Music in the Park, featuring national and regional artists displaying their works. Concerts that weekend will include Tribute Band Night from 7-11 p.m. Friday; Glenn Phillips Band & Moses Mo - 2 Ton Message on Saturday; and John King on Sunday.
