BUFORD - Gwinnett County Police have released the identity of a man killed Saturday while driving his motorcycle near the Mall of Georgia.

Christopher Tucker, 29, of Lawrenceville was headed east on Highway 20 when a car, driven by Patricia Waldrip, 54, of Lawrenceville, pulled in front of him at Brandsmart Way, near the Quiktrip gas station.

According to a police report, Tucker was thrown from his motorcycle--over the car--and landed in the street.

The wreck occurred around 8:30 p.m.

Tucker was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, where he died from his injuries at 10:18 p.m.; Waldrip was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

No word yet on which driver was at fault, or if any charges will be filed.

Authorities say speed appears to be a factor in the case.

Funeral services are planned for Tucker Thursday; Lawson Funeral Home of Hoschton is handling the arrangements.
