BUFORD - Two women were killed and a man was injured in a collision in south Hall County Saturday night.

Cpl. Auston Allen with the Georgia State Patrol said the two-vehicle crash happened around 9:50 p.m. on Highway 13 at Carter Road, which is just north of Lanier Islands Parkway.

"Vehicle 1 was traveling southbound on Georgia 13, vehicle 2 was northbound on Georgia 13," said Allen. "Vehicle 1 failed to maintain its lane of travel and crossed the center line, and they essentially struck headlight-to-headlight."

The drivers of both vehicles were killed, according to Allen.

He identified the at-fault driver as 49-year-old Cynthia Farmer of Auburn. The driver of vehicle 2 was 79-year-old Daisye Faust of Flowery Branch.

Faust's 79-year-old passenger, Joseph Faust, was injured and hospitalized.
