GAINESVILLE -- The North Hall boys tennis team saw its season come to end Thursday against reigning state champion St Pius 5-0 in the second round of the Class AAAA state tournament.
In sIngles, Jackson Davis fell to Michael Malina 6-1, 6-1; Dalton Patterson lost to Parker Jones 6-2, 6-1; and Reid Lattanzi lost to Parker Lieb 10-5.
In doubles, Matt Booth and Paxton Gillespie lost 6-3, 6-2 to Griffin Kinkler and Nat Weinert at No. 1 and Daniel Martin and Dawson Smith dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision to Devon Boutte and Noah Druss at No. 2.
It was the final match for Booth, who was a four-year letterman for the Trojans.
North Hall finished the season as Region 8-AAAA champs and a 13-5 overall record.
